Jean M. Baker, J.D. is the founder and President of Case Navigator™. She has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa, and a law degree from Drake University Law School.

She represents parents and children in juvenile CINA court in Des Moines, Iowa. Polk County has six (6) full-time judges devoted exclusively to juvenile court, and follow best practices, whether with regard to trauma-informed care, Medication Assisted Treatment (“MAT”), or adolescent brain development. There are multiple specialty courts: Zero to Three Safe Babies Court, Family Recovery Court, Juvenile Drug Court, and Juvenile Girls Drug Court (“Too Good to Lose”).

Ms. Baker also serves as a CASA Coach (Court Appointed Special Advocate, working with abused and neglected children), a mock trial judge at the collegiate level, and accompanies four (4) choirs at a local church.

Case Navigator™ was created as a way to combine Ms. Baker’s passion for serving families, her legal and education background, and her skills at creating process and structure for better outcomes.
